The Mission

Our agency is looking to fill a fu ll-time, permanent Secretary Senior vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This higher-level clerical position works for our Goldendale Field Office located at 228 South Columbus, Goldendale, WA 98620.

Under general direction by the Secretary Supervisor, this position provides advanced secretarial support to two Community Corrections Officers (CCOs), one off-site Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS), and the Secretary Supervisor.

Duties

Provide complex clerical/secretarial support for the CCS and CCOs at the Goldendale Field Office.

  • Greet incoming visitors and answer phone calls.
  • Assist with and take notes at meetings.
  • Draft correspondence.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Database entry/retrieval in systems such as ICOTS, OMNI (Offender Management Network Information), and OnBase.
Manage office field files and office equipment and supplies.
  • Travel to the courthouse to pick up files and paperwork pertaining to DOC.
  • Records management and archiving of files for DOC policy.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of increasingly responsible office/clerical experience requiring keyboarding or typing.
  • And a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
  • Ability to assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to handle inquiries and complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience drafting, editing, and sending electronic correspondence.
  • Experience researching and navigating via internet browsers.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple assignments in an office environment.
