Security Assistant working as part of a security team for a government location at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC.
Description:
- This position is for a entry to mid level security professional that will function as a security assistant supporting a security team led by a CPSO with overall responsibility for all aspects of a program security effort supported.
- Support CPSO in the implementation of federal program security regulations.
- Support CPSO in the conduct of self-inspections, TS-accountability, document control, personnel security, and physical security activities that materially contribute to a USG program security effort
- Basic knowledge of DoD 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), JSIG IC Tech Spec‐for ICD/ICS 705, and other applicable security regulations and requirements
- Candidate must be able to work in an office setting utilizing MS Office tools to support security administration functions in an enhanced security environment.
- Support tasks include processing Visitor Certification requests. Prepare, track and file Program Access Requests.
- Support visitor control functions. Process base /facilities access requests for visitors including verifying authorization for access; certifying incoming visit requests; maintaining files for incoming and outgoing visit requests; and processing / badging visitors. Escort personnel in facility (as required). Prepare visit request to support visits to other facilities.
- Support personnel security (PERSEC) functions for the customer office.
- High School Diploma
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a SAP environment supporting an effective, compliant program security effort.
- This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance based on a current SSBI.
