Holton-Arms School invites applications for the full-time position of
Security Information Specialist. Founded in 1901, Holton-Arms is an independent college preparatory school for girls with over 600 students in grades 3 through 12, located on a 57-acre campus in Bethesda, MD, a suburb of Washington. Holton is known for its commitment to academic excellence, and for its leadership in providing opportunities for young women in athletics and the fine and performing arts. Position Summary:
Position Summary:
This full time salaried, exempt position serves as a visible uniformed (unarmed) security presence at the main entrance of our school. They assist the security team in providing a safe environment for all students, staff and visitors. Represents the school to all visitors and callers to campus while supporting day to day operations of the security department and school.
Qualifications:
Prior verifiable law enforcement experience is required. We seek candidates who are dependable, flexible team players with excellent communication and situational awareness skills. The successful candidate will have a solid work history, with knowledge of electronic access and key control systems. Experience conducting investigations and report writing with Microsoft Word and Excel is also required. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and patrol all areas interior and exterior of the school and campus in adverse weather conditions.
Work schedule:
Full-time, exempt, essential positions. Schedule is 40 hours per week to include some nights and weekends.
