General Summary….
The Specialist I, Security plans and implements security awareness programs for FedEx management and employee groups. The incumbent implements loss prevention programs and conducts investigations in theft, pilferage, workplace violence, and other acts detrimental to the FedEx brand, its customers, and its employees.
This position will be responsible for…..
- Supports security awareness programs for employees.
- Supports loss prevention programs.
- Supports management initiatives to manage expenses and cost center within assigned areas of responsibility as needed.
- Provides matrix support to various levels of teammates and management.
- Conducts investigations into thefts, pilferages, workplace violence, acts of vandalism, misconduct, and other activities detrimental to the FedEx brand, its employees, and its customers.
- Maintains liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Performs security assessments and produces any corrective action plans required to maintain the security standards. Conducts facility inspections, as required.
- Maintains security caseloads and updates security information management systems (ESIMS).
- Conducts audio recorded interviews and maintains files.
- Develops relationships with emergency command centers and is prepared to deploy in emergency situations.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory items.
- Documents and identifies screening of shipments and implements corrective action plans using quality tools, as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
- Associate’s degree/equivalent. Six (6) months law enforcement/industry security or related experience. College internship can be used in lieu of experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based computer programs.
- Ability to prepare investigative summaries and detailed reports.
- Knowledge of anti-terrorism operations.
- Must be bondable.
- Must qualify for a commission as a law enforcement/private officer in the city/county/state where based.
- Ability to complete required training programs.
- Good human relations and investigative skills, communication skills, and writing skills.

- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
