JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Business Analyst at Transaction Data Systems, you will leverage your technical, problem solving, and communication skills to analyze data and uncover actionable business insights for our pharmacy customers and internal TDS decision-makers. The Senior Business Analyst will be an integral piece of the Data Analytics team, which focuses on providing robust, credible, and insightful analyses to support new initiatives, drive decision making, and foster creativity for TDS customers and internal stakeholders. The analyst will also be responsible for operationally driving both current and new data initiative opportunities with oversight from department leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead analyst for data monetization program(s); responsible for operational success and enhanced program analytics
• Self-directed in performing required internal reporting to meet business objectives and deadlines, including presentation prep of KPIs, analysis and reports required for business until leadership
• Collecting financial and operational data from pharmacies to review, audit, and analyze to help pharmacies understand their business economics
• Communicate findings with manager and prepare reports that may be shared, including internal business units and external clients
• Ensure quality work through a thorough knowledge and understanding of reporting logic, analysis of discrepancies, and ability to audit findings to determine root cause of issues
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial analyses
• Responsible for managing projects and tasks across business leaders and other analysts
• An inherent responsibility to seek opportunities for streamlining and improving of internal and external report offerings
• Understanding of key performance indicators, executing current and new data opportunities, and how to track results against them

KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

Required Competencies:

• 3-5 years of data analysis experience, pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience working with senior decision makers
• Advanced Excel experience required
• Proven analytical background
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and dedicated to follow through
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to manage projects and communicate status, milestones, resources, risks and mitigations
• Ability to work well both independently and as a team member

Preferred Competencies:

• Knowledge of visualization/dashboard design techniques for data analysis and presentation
• Skilled in one or more business intelligence tools, such as Power BI or Looker
• Skilled in project management disciplines and tools when engaging across business leaders and key partners
• Experience with business metrics and measurements including defining measurements and designing key performance indicators to track
• Experience with SQL coding
