Part-Time Program Assistant (Fill in/Per Diem)

This is a fill-in position providing support at our Age Well Senior Center locations as needed to cover staff absences. Ability and willingness to work flexible days/hours and travel to local Senior Centers in South Orange County. Must have reliable transportation. Our programs run Mondays through Fridays typically between the hours of 8:30am and 2:30pm (start and end times vary). Hours vary between 0 - 30 hours per week depending on demand and your availability.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is trained in all operations and will fill in with Meals-on-Wheels and/or Congregate senior lunches. Great opportunity for college students, parents transitioning back into the workforce, former military, individuals with gaps on their resumes, or semi-retirees!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have proficient computer skills – Excel, Word and MS Office
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have strong problem solving, verbal and writing skills
• Must be well organized, detail oriented with strong time management skills

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Food Handler or ServSafe Certificate (not required to apply)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of current Vehicle Insurance
• Proof of current Vehicle Registration

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up and or push 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
