In this role, you will work as a Senior Client Service Representative for the Minot Avenue, Auburn Branch, interacting with clients and helping them with their banking and financial needs. As a Senior Client Service Representative, you are the face of our bank, displaying our exceptional customer service to everyone that comes through our doors.
Candidates for this position should possess exceptional customer service skills, a sales orientation and a high degree of accuracy in managing cash and following procedures. The ability to engage with business and individual clients in an engaging, professional manner is key to success, as is your ability to work well with your team of coworkers.
Previous banking experience is required for this role.
Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrates proficiency and serves as a resource for all Client Service Representative duties. The Senior CSR exhibits a professional appearance and models professional behavior in both client and team communications, interactions and relationships.

In the absence of a Retail Manager or CSS, the SCSR is responsible for making effective decisions regarding operations and for resolving complex client concerns when either the other team members are unable/ uncomfortable doing so or the client requires additional attention.

  • Proactively supports the training effort in the branch including implementation and adherence to policies and procedures, training new staff and cross training existing staff.
  • Participates in sales coaching by identifying cross sales opportunities and providing coaching feedback to team members. Trains and coaches on effective use of the bank’s Client Relationship Management System.
  • Actively participates in branch sales and action plans and may at times be expected to lead specific initiatives including outbound client calls and sales campaigns.
  • May be required to travel to other Androscoggin Bank locations to assist as needed.
  • Adheres to all security, audit and safety policies set forth by the bank following branch operational standards including proving the vault, drawer management and account opening & maintenance.
  • Efficiently works with clients to open more complex deposit accounts. Be a resource to the team in controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing, processing check re-orders, opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.
  • Oversight of daily/weekly/monthly branch tasks. Proficiently makes telephone calls to clients concerning inquiries into transactions directly affecting them. Other administrative tasks assigned by CSS, RM or Regional Operational Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Other Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as a bank Client Service Representative.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, knowledge and proficiency in Teller/CSR duties.
  • Completion of AB University Communications Certificate or similar.
  • Proven communication and problem solving skills.
  • Desire and ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software
  • Demonstrates strong product knowledge through explaining features and benefits of each product/service.

Ability to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.
