THE ROLE

Maryville Consulting Group is seeking to add a Sr. Cloud Architect within our Cloud & Digital Transformation practice.

In this role, we seek a technical leader that can excel at helping clients develop a strategic direction based on well-defined business outcomes. Once the direction is established, this role would then be responsible for aligning and overseeing a team to successfully enable the desired outcome(s). The ideal candidate should be adept at understanding a Fortune 500 client's business initiatives, identifying relevant success criteria, and aligning Maryville Consulting Groups’ unique capabilities to deliver superior outcomes. This leader is tasked with designing strategic solutions to customer challenges by bringing the combined value of Maryville’s services and experience with the capabilities of our strategic partner community.

Our ideal candidate has experience acting as a trusted advisor to large complex customers, designing and enabling enterprise class cloud environments, overseeing migration and technical adoption, and leading delivery teams to ensure exemplary customer experience. Role success will be measured through technical proficiency, team performance, customer satisfaction, and overall impact to the profitability of the Cloud & Digital practice.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As an Architect - Cloud & Digital Transformation, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Drive awareness of industry best practices and build upon an environment of continuous learning and improvement
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for end-to-end cloud architectures for clients and team members
  • Establish a portfolio of cloud design patterns to meet specific customer scenarios across edge, hybrid, and public cloud
  • Work closely with our Digital Operations practice to ensure technical designs compliment CI/CD enablement
  • Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, and platform configurations
  • Manage and maintain relevant certifications
  • Assist in assigning appropriate resourcing for successful project delivery
  • Provide expertise around technical governance and compliance
  • Bring and grow knowledge of industry-leading technology platforms
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5+ years of delivering Technical/advisory services to large enterprise clients in the areas of architecture, network, security, application development, operations, or database mgt.
  • Experience migrating organizations to public/private/multi-cloud
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
  • Understanding of 3rd party cloud ISV integrations (preferably AVS and VMC)
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, applications, hybrid, edge, and cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Security Analysis, Software Development, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in effectively influencing and leading personnel and the ability to deliver results
  • Ability to communicate well with customers, partners, and co-workers
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience presenting to technical and business decision makers
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% domestically (post-COVID)
  • This position is available within the United States as a remote position, or within St. Louis, Minneapolis, or Boston as an office-based role.
