THE ROLE

Maryville Consulting Group is seeking a consulting leader to deliver high-quality outcomes for enterprise accounts across the US. This candidate will bring experience participating in and managing engagements for Fortune 500 organizations with industry best practice approaches. This role will have the opportunity to lead accounts, manage engagements, and support business development opportunities. In all cases, we seek leaders that work to take unstructured problems and drive a well-defined and thorough execution method to delivery.

This role is within Maryville’s Technology Business Management (TBM) Practice, which provides solutions to help executive leaders measure, manage and communicate the value of technology to the enterprise. We drive the alignment, prioritization, and optimization of enterprise technology to maximize the engagement and productivity of our client’s employees. Common engagements include managing and measuring performance, optimizing technology investments and implementing shared-service operating models. The Technology Business Management Practice is rapidly expanding with substantial opportunity for career growth and additional accountabilities, including assisting with our continued expansion in the Northeast region.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As part of the TBM Team, you’ll provide guidance and offer unique perspectives that enable clients to run IT as a value-driving business partner.
You will be expected to:
  • Independently lead TBM / IT Financial Management engagements, manage client-facing teams (typically 2-8 people), and deliver timely outcomes while attaining the highest possible client satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to expand and grow strategic accounts through high-quality engagement delivery and excellent client relationships
  • Cultivate customer relationships and become a trusted advisor in the strategic development of people, process and technology at our clients
  • Support MCG’s growth in the northeast through recruiting activities, client acquisition & retention, industry events, mentorship of associate hires, etc.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
  • Experience in enterprise technology, managerial finance or management & technology consulting
  • Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to drive outcomes both independently and while leading small to mid-size (2-8 people) teams
  • Comfortable influencing and building trust-based, value-added relationships with senior executives
  • Demonstrated leadership in problem statement definition, solution proposal, and solution execution
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% domestically (post-COVID)
  • Located in the greater Boston Area
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Business development experience with a track record of developing new and expanding existing client relationships
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, General Business, or Information Technology
  • PMP, ITIL, and/or TBMA certifications
  • IT industry understanding and experience of leading digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong Excel / Tableau, related systems background (with expectation of managing resources delivering in these solutions)
This position is based in the Boston Financial District Office, with flexibility for work from home balance.
