Svitla and our customer are looking for a motivated Database Engineer with broad Relational and non-Relational Database technology background to join our Platform and Site Reliability Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting database systems and data models. You will collaborate with business units to analyze current-state business processes and help modernize and build scalable and sustainable solutions to help ensure data integrity and security. Our team partners closely with IT and Engineering groups and requires individuals to bring a can-do, positive attitude, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

• 6-9 years of relevant experience.
• Must have US Citizenship.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with hands-on database design, development and operations with MySQL, PostgresSQL, AWS RDS, GCP CloudSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL Database design and implementation with one or more - MongoDB, BigTable, Redis, DynamoDB.
• Experience with Database security, Data Privacy.
• Working experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible in CI/CD environments.
• Knowledge of Java, Python, Shell Scripting.
• Big Plus - Experience in a FedRAMP environment like AWS GovCloud, GCP FedRamp
• Solid problem solving, troubleshooting, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deploy database infrastructure build out, perform upgrades and migrations.
• Influence product roadmap, prioritize existing commitments and drive extraordinary business outcomes.
• Develop scripts, build tools and write code to automate routine tasks.
• Manage complex data replication environments.
• Create operational playbooks, contribute to how-to articles, and gain domain knowledge to drive changes in the team.
• Participate in developing monitoring dashboards and alerts, to improve our ability to proactively analyze and detect problems impacting stability of the application.
