Job Description
Position Summary
The Service Oklahoma division of the of Office of Management and Enterprise Services is hiring for a Senior Director of Performance. The position is responsible for transparent recognition of organizational performance and continued improvement of government services through detailed target setting and performance initiative tracking. Additionally, the Director will ensure high quality standards in service delivery by auditing work of examiners and licensed operators to ensure compliance with established laws, policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with other senior leaders to establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
  • Adjusts policies and procedures to improve day-to-day operations based on data analytics
  • Oversees audits of examiners and licensed operators to ensure compliance with established laws, policies and procedures related to motor vehicle and driver's license services
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers and audit staff;
  • Improves customer service and satisfaction through by identifying policy and procedural issues identified through dashboards.
  • Participate in data governance and maintain documentation of data quality processes;
  • Maintain and develop quality control processes and audits to ensure data are reported accurately and transparently.
  • Analyze data and use results to inform policy decision making in key areas;
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, and community.
  • Maintain highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Work collaboratively and transparently with internal teams to ensure alignment between core priorities and policy goals
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
Requirements include:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in management of operations
Valued Skills and Experience
  • Ability to be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills. Ability to intelligently build a course of action, analyze trade-offs, and make recommendations even in ambiguous situations
  • Understand key technical aspects pertaining to performance management and be able to adjust to meet metrics and goals
  • Effective communication with ability to build consensus; demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
Occasional travel may be required.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
