Senior Estimator (95% Remote) Job at APSI Construction Management
Project Details (Size, SOW, Site Background, etc.):
We are looking for a Senior Estimator to work on various on-going projects for our client, the LA County Sanitation District. The majority of the estimates will be prepared for the change orders.
Daily Responsibilities:
Work independent as senior estimator on various projects providing estimates. The projects are mainly water/waste water treatment plants but includes the scope of utilities, site work and mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
he estimates prepared are:
. Change Order estimates
. Rough Order Magnitude (ROM)
Good verbal and written communication is must.
Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.):
- B.S. Degree in civil engineer or construction management.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on estimating experience is a must.
- Familiarity with prevailing labor wage rates, equipment rental and labor crew size and productivity.
- Supervise junior estimator and be responsible for quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and method for utilities, civil works and water/waste water treatment plants and strong knowledge MS office suit (Excel). On-screen take off using Bluebeam.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work experience working (8-10 years minimum) as senior estimator.
