POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the Corporate financial monthly accounting close cycle to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and RealTruck accounting policies, including ownership of accounting, analysis, controls, and reporting. This role will also support consolidation of RealTruck financial statements through collaboration with RealTruck brands by assisting with oversight of centralized processes, issuance of internal reporting, and related projects. Work involves a high level of independent judgment, accuracy, and initiative.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for areas of Corporate financial close cycle including completion of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and financial statements on corporate ledger.
• Manage centralized accounting processes, including accounting for fixed assets and inter-company transactions/ eliminations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist with the coordination, gathering of support and other necessary tasks to complete the external audit.
• Prepare the internal financial reports maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy; analyze reports and collaborate with functional leaders to analyze and understand variances.
• Assist with the coordination of bank and insurance audit requirements.
• Assist efforts to improve close processes, automation projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree required. Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience required.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, specifically in pivot tables, vlook-ups, formulas, and functions.
• Knowledge of financial systems, including general ledger – Great Plains is preferred, consolidations & reporting - Hyperion Financial Management is preferred, and account reconciliation tool – Blackline is preferred.
• Ability to problem solve independently and resourcefully.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to think analytically.
• Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
