Senior Manager/Biopharma Business Development Manager (Biotechnology) Job at Nuprobe USA Inc.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in developing and executing the strategy for building new business relationships with biotech, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics companies. Building on a portfolio of molecular technologies and services, including NGS and PCR solutions for precision oncology, the successful candidate will be responsible for deal flow and management of the deal process from initiation through deal close.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify and develop opportunities in target markets, including translational research, early clinical development, clinical diagnostics, life science research
  • Establish business relationships with key decision makers and senior executives, and support the initiation and development of new accounts
  • Support the progression of clients through the business development funnel through continued analysis and liaising with internal stakeholders to communicate needs
  • Achieve an in-depth understanding of client’s needs and be able to communicate to the internal organization
  • Lead proposal development, term sheet generation, and negotiations for licensing and commercial partnership deals
  • Provide accurate forecasting to leadership and deliver against targets
  • Identify opportunities for expansion in key growth markets and regions

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing relationships with biopharma and diagnostics executives
  • Experience in molecular diagnostics with emphasis on oncology
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude with ability to readily adapt to change and solve problems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforces or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required
  • Adapt and be flexible to changing priorities

Job Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business, Science, or Economics. MS, MBA, or PhD degree desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant business development roles selling to diagnostics companies, biopharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations (CROs), or clinical laboratories required

Physical Demands:

This position requires sitting at a desk, standing, bending and extensive use of computer and other work-related electronic devices. Lab positions require elongated standing and sitting where the worker must tend to time sensitive procedures. Must be able to push, pull, hold files and confer in office spaces. During time of pandemic, this and other roles require the employee to wear a mask over the nose and mouth while on the work premises. Must be able to carry or pick-up items up to 25 pounds at any time. Employees must keep safety rules and good work practices a priority. Any accommodations must be requested through Human Resources.
