Description:

The Senior Marketing Survey Analyst maintains firm demographic data for publications; directories; client diversity, industry diversity and government surveys; as well as accolade submissions. This role directly supports internal firm data and knowledge management needs, requiring candidates to have 5 years of relevant legal, corporate, or industry demographic data experience or survey submission experience. Successful candidates must exercise independent judgment and technical competency, demonstrate initiative, and work as part of a collaborative team on both firm-wide survey submissions as well as departmental projects geared towards strategic organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Collect, review, maintain and report on firm internal and client team demographic data, directly supporting the internal data needs of the DEI team, firm marketers, and relevant business professionals
  • Support timely submission of data for publications; directories; client diversity, industry diversity and government surveys; as well as accolade submissions, helping to manage the submission process
  • Support the calendaring of publication and survey submissions, implementing and improving the submission process for each unique publication, directory, survey or accolade submission
  • Help to develop and maintain internal databases for submissions tracking, implementing automated workflows where possible
  • Work as part of a team to maintain and support the firm's Talent Inventory Database, ensuring accuracy
  • Support collection and currency of all firm DEI data for client diversity surveys, Mansfield Rule certification, Mansfield Certification forums, Seramount/Working Mother survey, Yale Women's Law survey, and many other diversity-related submissions
  • Help to review and maintain quality control over DEI and demographic submissions data ensuring consistency and high quality deliverables for all submissions, including client diversity surveys
  • Use accounting, client matter, and human resource information to verify data sets while maintaining strict data confidentiality
  • Support the building and data population of firm submissions database(s), under the direction of Business Analytics and Marketing leadership and in partnership with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) as well as other Business Services stakeholders
  • Maintain listings of and regularly report on opportunities to avoid, documenting information and reasoning
  • Assist with the redesign and quarterly distribution of the Industry Sector Group (ISG) experience survey, including supporting data collection and maintenance
  • Help support integration of ISG survey experience data into Firmwide experience management platform under the direction of Business Analytics leadership and in partnership with EPMO, Finance, IT, Marketing and other Business Services departments
  • Provide data management, maintenance, and reporting support to the DEI team, firm marketers, and relevant business professionals
  • Provide knowledge management support to Marketing and DEI teams, including assisting with quality control of firm data and metadata
  • Support Marketing and DEI teams with firm knowledge management improvement, including DMS organization
  • Attend weekly Business Analytics and Diversity Data team meetings
  • Maintain assessment metrics for firm diversity data while reporting metrics monthly to firm leadership as well as DEI leadership
  • Stay abreast of the information needs, workflow, and preferences of users and stakeholders in order to improve ease of access to information and best-in-class data support
  • Support the development of Business Analytics and Diversity Data training material, including show sheets and training manuals, ensuring accuracy of all instructional material
  • Maintain awareness of and expertise with all firm survey tools, including QuestionPro and Qualtrics
  • Help to develop improved reporting of RFPs, surveys, directories, publications, accolades, and other submissions through development of dynamic dashboards and other reporting through Microsoft PowerBI
  • Assist in creating analytical reports in order to outline problems, create opportunities, and solve potential matters in day to day business functions
  • Work in collaboration with Competitive Intelligence, Finance, Human Resources, IT and Innovation teams to promote centralization of and easy access to data
  • Maintain compliance with all firm privacy guidelines and best practices around retention of firm data and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of firm personnel
  • Special projects and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Data Analysis and Legal Knowledge Management
  • Minimum of 5 years legal, corporate, or industry data experience or survey submission experience required; preferably in a law firm setting or equivalent
  • Ability to analyze information, logically organize information, and integrate findings into work product
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy in data entry
  • Understanding of legal systems and concepts, with an awareness of the legal industry and current trends
  • Experience with knowledge management, including strong understanding of metadata's role in information organization
  • Experience analyzing and reporting on large data sets, with the ability to synthesize large quantities of data and to express complex concepts in a concise, business format
  • Experience building and maintaining legal taxonomies
  • Knowledge of data collection methods and competencies, including an understanding of information organization and collecting data towards decision making
  • Critical evaluation skills, including the ability to assess the credibility, currency, and validity of information sources
  • Familiarity with APIs and data visualization

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree with more than 5 years legal, corporate, or industry data experience or survey submission experience required; preferably in a law firm setting or equivalent
This position may be filled in New York City, Colorado, or California. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the Colorado Equal Pay Act, and the California Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position in New York City is $81,800-$122,600/yr, in Colorado is $71,600-$107,400/yr, and in California is $78,400-$127,800/yr. These ranges are specific to these three locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
