Senior Network Administrator Job at Clatsop County
Clatsop County occupies the northwest corner of Oregon bounded to the north by the Columbia River and to the west by the Pacific Ocean. Named for the Clatsop Indians, Clatsop County is rich in history, scenery and opportunity.
Seeking one full-time network administrator to work closely with the information systems team and end users to address and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
Mandatory Qualifications
Requires Bachelor’s or equivalent in computer information systems or closely related field, AND three to five years of information technology experience with increasingly responsible duties, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Must possess and maintain driving privileges in the state of Oregon. Must possess or be able to acquire CJIS security clearance to access secure facilities including law enforcement buildings.
Desirable Qualifications
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in firewall administration, network protocols, switch configuration, routing, high availability clustering, storage area networks, Linux server administration, and database server technologies. IT-specific project management experience related to software, hardware, and network configuration and maintenance. Professional certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ISACA, or equivalent. Previous experience with law enforcement and HIPAA protected databases and applications.
