POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate execution of Under Amour’s payroll. This position will function as the primary owner of payroll processing, including adjustments, off-cycle payrolls and internal control audits. The role is involved in improving the operations and contributing to the overall teammate experience from the Payroll Department. This role is responsible for helping to drive continuous improvement across payroll.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will support payroll processing for a single region; other duties may be assigned.
· Process bi-weekly multistate payroll using SAP GlobalView, ensuring payroll compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
· Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for payroll processing; provide oversight and direction to Payroll Specialists supporting the payroll process
· Manage all payroll adjustments, out of sequence payrolls, and off cycle payroll runs.
· Manage the relocation update in ADP GlobalView
· Maintain data quality of Payroll system and collaborate with HR Administration and HR Systems to correct errors in the integration from HRIS to SAP GlobalView
· Prepare payroll processing audits for payroll signoff; prepare and collect audit reports for Internal Controls
· Support the development of the Payroll Specialists by sharing knowledge and providing feedback
· Manage over-payment processes and deductions in arrears, as well as the accruals
· Execute Quarter- and Year-End adjustments
· Manage all aspects of payroll for Expatriate teammates
· Serve as escalation for payroll errors, corrections, and teammate concerns
· Serve as backup for Senior Payroll Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES:
· Proficient knowledge of payroll for the region
· Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving skills required; practical approach to solving issues and gaining solution alignment
· Excellent customer service focus and experience
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive situations
· Communicates well both verbally and in writing with team members of all levels across the organization
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in multiple systems simultaneously
· Ability to establish priorities, work and think independently, and proceed with objectives without direct supervision
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 5- 7 years’ experience with payroll processing, required
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent payroll experience) in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Applicable system (ADP GlobalView) experience, required
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
· Significant experience in Excel, including advanced features (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our or global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
- Return To Work Designation: At least two (2) days per week in-office, the remainder of work week remote
Base salary range: $65,544.00 - $90,123.00
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
