Job Description:

As a Procurement and Contracts Specialist on the Contracts team, you’ll:

  • Develop complex contracts, amendments, and related documents for construction, technology, professional services, and other high-dollar, high-profile engagements.
  • Analyze and interpret legal terms and conditions to identify and assess potential risk or compliance issues.
  • Lead and/or facilitate contract negotiations and related discussions between the County and vendors.
  • Collaborate across the organization in the development of contracts, amendments, and scopes of work.
  • Recommend and develop policies and procedures for contract management activities, administrative agent functions, contract compliance policies, vendor performance issues, and other areas as needed.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and facilitation of procurement and contract training programs for internal customers on effective contract lifecycle management, scope training, contract development, and other relevant areas.

E-Work/Remote Work: Currently our Contracts team is eligible to e-work up to 2 days per week! After you complete your first six months and contingent on work requirements and other factors, you’ll be eligible for this fantastic benefit.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

About You:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Public/Business Administration, or related field AND two (2) years of experience in public and/or private sector procurement, contracts administration, or a related field
  • OR - An Associate degree from an accredited college or university in related field AND four (4) years of experience in public or private sector procurement, contracts administration, or a related field
  • OR - Progressively responsible professional experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years related experience with procurement, contracts, education, law, writing, project management or a related field
  • CPPB or NIGP-CPP or the ability to obtain CPPB or NIGP-CPP within three (3) years

Pay: $57,134.69- $68,000.00 depending upon experience
