The APEX Senior Program Manager reports to the VP Geospatial Solutions. The preference is for employee to be local to our Herndon office but are open to strong candidates on the east coast willing to travel to the office as needed. As a successful candidate, you are responsible for maintaining a positive interface with this international customer by ensuring the timely delivery of BlackSky products and services consistent with the contract Statement of Work. The Senior Program Manager will manage a team of engineers and subject matter experts who are dedicated to delivering services focused on the customer's needs. You are also responsible for the execution of the contract consistent with the cost and schedule identified in the proposal. You will have the opportunity to meet with the customer at their site and experience their work environment. You will also have the opportunity to influence the BlackSky product roadmap to deliver services that meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage contract for the delivery of geospatial data and services for an overseas contract.
• Provide oversight to ensure program reaches financial objectives and contractual milestones.
• Be a diligent, respectful, and caring steward of company resources and contractual requirements to client.
• Effectively engage with stakeholders by providing clear and periodic updates on program status.
• Build quality into processes and deliverables to delight customer and maintain internal team morale.
• Ensure compliance with all international, federal, local and company laws, regulations, and policies.
• Prepare proposals, contract amendments, or other documents to support company objectives.
• Apply Geospatial expertise to assist client achieve desired objectives.
• Possess ability to travel to Middle East periodically to meet with client.
• Oversee development and execution of training to develop the skill of client to use company and other vendor software to build GIS and imagery analysis products.
• Work with US and overseas vendors to obtain required products and services to support and expand contract.
• Supervise the activities of two subordinates which support the contract and create a collaborative team environment.
• Provide resources and mentoring to subordinates to ensure mission success and internal personal growth.
• Support Business Development efforts to onboard new clients with similar business requirements.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• At least ten years experience managing a program in a customer-facing role.
• Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Analysis or Business related degree.
• Prior experience managing a contract with an international customer.
• Prior experience managing a training contract.
• Valid passport, travel up to 20%.
• Competence in Microsoft Suite.
• PMP certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Middle Eastern culture, customs, and business rules
• Prior geospatial program management experience
• Knowledge of BAE eXplorer and SOCET GXP software
• Knowledge of GIS Information Technology Networks
• Bilingual language skills
