Purpose of the position
As a Senior Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing a variety of items, including non-sourced parts and machined parts (such as pins, blocks, manifolds, sprockets, etc.), as well as developing and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure efficient, accurate, and cost-effective purchasing. You will also work closely with the customer care, logistics, and sourcing teams (including the overseas part of the organization) to ensure correct, smooth and fast fulfillment of customer orders.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Source and purchase items outside of the Competence Centre's scope
- Update customer offers with pricing and delivery information
- Prepare purchase order documents and follow up with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with contractual agreements for spares supply and delivery
- Use the ERP system to manage stock replenishment
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor degree in a related field, such as business or logistics
- Relevant work experience in sourcing roles or similar positions in a global company
- Experience working with large, multi-site global suppliers and managing supplier relationships and negotiations is a plus
- Strong sourcing skills, including supplier relationship management, contract, and commercial negotiation, and legal/contractual knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- SAP experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Google package (G Suite) Desired Behaviors:
