We are looking for a Revenue Manager to join our team! This person will be working in a core function within the Accounting team and needs to have strong knowledge on ASC 606 and will be responsible for revenue recognition.
What You Will Do:
- Work with sales operations/legal to review, draft contracts, and confirm or propose edits required to meet the revenue guidance as appropriate.
- Perform contract review and apply critical thinking to ensure revenue recognized in compliance with ASC 606 and write technical accounting memos.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team and other departments in the organization in streamlining processes.
- Develop and update revenue policies and procedures. Maintain revenue accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP requirements (ASC 606).
- Drive improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness into the revenue process.
- Own monthly close and reporting processes including; preparation of revenue workings, journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation of revenue accounts.
- Review arrangements with multiple performance obligations and assess allocation.
- Perform SSP analysis and prepare quarterly allocation for each report, as needed.
- Analyze and assess appropriate accounting treatment and book the accruals, as needed.
- Perform analysis on contract assets, contract liability and unbilled AR including preparation of roll forward schedules and calculations of the short term/long term classifications.
- Support the annual financial statement audit by providing requested support to auditors.
- Assist in SOX testing to ensure SOX compliance; work with internal and external audit requests related to areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to process and system improvements in the revenue cycle, including ERP system enhancement and departmental projects.
- Assist Accounting team with any ad hoc requests or responsibilities, including the monthly close process.
- Participate in Company special projects and initiatives.
- Continue to streamline and develop scalable processes and policies for revenue accounting.
- Help lead projects related to financial systems and business process transformation/upgrades as necessary.
- 5-7 years' of revenue experience in the media and entertainment industries preferrably.
- ASC 606 experience required.
- Experience with Big 4 preferred.
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast paced, fast growing company.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships across all business functions
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Audit experience, CPA required.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $122,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $142,000/year. The compensation package includes the annual bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
