HOW LONG will it take you to get to our restaurant, which is near Carnegie Museum in Oakland? [RESPOND BELOW, in the QUESTIONS Section.]

(We're asking because many people apply from far away and a long commute to this job doesn't make any sense!)

Union Grill has been in business for 30 years. We're closed now for renovations. We'll reopen on Wednesday, February 22nd with a BRAND-NEW bar and restaurant!

We have openings for a number of permanent shifts and would prefer to hire full-time people (over 30 hours a week) but will gladly consider part-timers too.

All shifts are open. Work as much or as little as you want. Full-time work will earn enough tip money to support a family.

We give our servers the benefit of permanent shifts. This means that you can plan your personal life, vacations, etc. well in advance because you'll know the shifts you will be working and you will even have a good idea of what your earnings will be, since sales stay consistent. Of course you will have the flexibility of getting others to cover your shifts when necessary and even taking paid time off.

FREE HEALTH INSURANCE for Full-Time Employees (at least 30 hours a week)!

LUNCH SHIFTS run from 11:30 AM to 2 PM or 4 PM. (Some servers leave at 2, some leave at 4, and some double.)

DINNER SHIFTS run from 4 PM to 8 PM or 10 PM. (Some servers leave at 8 and some leave at 10.)

DOUBLES run from 11:30 AM to 8 PM or 10 PM. (Some servers leave at 8 and some leave at 10.)

We're closed on Tuesdays and all major holidays.

There is minimal side work and cash tips are seldom lower than $125 per 4 to 5-hour shift.

Prior serving experience is a requirement for this job. We need servers who can handle serious volume.
