Waymakers is a well-established non-profit human services agency committed to helping individuals experiencing conflict and crisis make their way to a place of strength and stability. Celebrating more than 45 years of providing services in Orange County, Waymakers is comprised of 8 core programs assisting over 120,000 persons a year.

Waymakers Youthful Offender Wraparound provides comprehensive rehabilitation and support services to youth experiencing mental health, behavioral and emotional dilemmas to strengthen family, peer, school and community relations. Services are provided to specialized populations in Orange County involved with or at risk of involvement with the child welfare, juvenile justice, probation, and children’s mental health systems.

SERVICE COORDINATOR

Youthful Offender Wraparound - Santa Ana. F/T, M – F, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Must be available for after-hours emergencies with 24/7 capability to respond via agency issued cell phone).

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide in-home case management services to youth and their families who are involved in the Juvenile Justice system. Assist youth and their families in identifying support people to develop a service team and leads the team to promote success, safety, wellness, recovery and permanence in the home, school and community.
• Maintain contact with all internal and external team members on a regular basis.
• Arrange monthly team meetings with all members. Ensures each team member is following through on tasks, no services are being duplicated, fills in any gaps in service and updates all team members on the progress of or changes to their Care Plan and regular documentation of these services on a daily basis.
• Work with the family to increase positive influence and decrease negative behavioral issues.
• Maintain a “whatever it takes” approach to resolving challenges and assisting families to focus on meeting their goals.

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, criminology or related discipline.
• Ability to establish rapport, make accurate assessment of a youth and family’s needs, assist the youth and family in practicing coping skills taught.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to work with a multicultural and diverse population with sensitivity and respect.
• Must be available for after-hours emergencies with 24/7 capability to respond via agency issued cell phone.
• Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, a clean driving record and a reliable automobile.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm. Must be available for after-hours emergencies with 24/7 capability to respond via agency-issued cell phone.
