Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. (MES) is the nation’s largest supplier of personal protective equipment, law enforcement products, and services to the first responder market. We are looking for great service technicians to join our growing team to service the Bay Area.

What you'll do:

  • You will assist Fire Departments and other First Responder departments in your assigned territory with their fire equipment needs by conducting periodic service calls and preventative maintenance services on 3M/Scott Safety SCBA (S*elf Contained Breathing A*pparatus) and SCBA-related equipment at Fire Departments.
  • You will also conduct flow testing (certifying the equipment works properly and to therequired standards).
  • In this role, you will also be troubleshooting and performing repairs on customer equipment, when needed.

Who you are:

  • You are hardworking, motivated, and driven.
  • You have great attention to detail. (Yes, this is CRITICAL, as this role is servicing life-saving essential equipment for Firefighters!)
  • You also consider yourself tech-savvy and know your way around a computer.
  • You enjoy working in multiple locations and are willing to travel and stay overnight at hotels for remote or large jobs.
  • You have a clean driving record and can maintain a valid driver’s license. (We will provide a company van.)
  • You have either a high school diploma or your GED.
  • You are mechanically inclined and can lift items, packages, and containers weighing up to 50 lbs.

"Bonus points" are given for the following:

  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment/systems, small engine repair, firefighting equipment, or cabling experience.
  • Working as a mechanic or electrician or having previous experience with hydraulics i
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years in asimilar position
  • Prior experience selling to emergency responders is highly preferred
  • Current or Former volunteer or paid experience as a first responder/Firefighter/EMT
