Our BMW, Westlake dealership in Thousand Oaks is seeking a Service Technician - Entry Level. This is a great opportunity to take your automotive career to the next level. In this position, you will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to repair vehicles correctly utilizing tools provided by the company in a safe and timely manner, while upholding the highest levels of professional integrity and achieving individual proficiency rate goals as well as franchise goals and objectives.

POSITION DETAILS
Consistently Ensures Client Satisfaction and Safety by Effectively, Efficiently, and Safely Repairing Vehicles Right the First Time, Every Time:

  • Effectively utilizes manufacturer recommended diagnosis and repair processes.
  • Promptly seeks clarification and/or management input, if Client concern, objective, or correct course of action is unclear.
  • Upon completion of repair, verifies that the concern has been resolved; communicates clearly the cause and all the steps taken to correct the concern.
  • Consistently and actively maintains solid working knowledge of, and ensures documentation and procedures comply with, Company, Manufacturer, local, state, and federal policies, procedures and regulations, which pertain to the sale and service of new and pre-owned vehicles: consistently demonstrates passion for continued learning regarding brand-specific knowledge.
  • Consistently, effectively, and efficiently locates, reads, analyzes, interprets, understands, and successfully performs work based upon complex technical documents.
  • Proactively seeks out and understands all manufacturer’s publications relevant to repairing and maintaining the product.

Effectively and Efficiently Achieves Proficiency Rate:

  • Consistently participates in determination of personal performance targets; sets challenging goals.
  • Organizes work and work tools to minimize damage and/or loss.
  • Required to successfully pass and remain current on all certification testing.

Build Effective Internal and External Client Relations/Retention:

  • Develops, implements a strong “Client-Centric” vision and utilizes “The Rusnak Standard,” best core practices, as well as professional and exemplary service to ensure that every internal and external Client of the dealership has an extraordinary experience during every encounter.
  • Actively listen and communicate, verbally and in writing, in a courteous, professional, clear, concise, and correct manner to identify Client needs beyond expressed concerns, and develops projects and campaigns aimed at meeting these identified needs.
  • Responds in a timely, courteous, and professional manner with a “consultative, value-added” approach to secure Client understanding and develop a stronger business relationship and future business.

Ensure A Safe Work Environment:

  • Accept individual responsibility and accountability for complying with the Company Health and Safety (H&S) processes while working on projects, initiatives and other work-related duties; performs job duties in a way that will not cause personal danger, endanger other individuals, or violate local, state, federal, environmental regulations.
  • Promptly corrects or reports any hazard or potential hazard or unsafe work condition to Director of Facilities or Human Resources; wears personal protective equipment, when required; ensures work location is kept safe, neat, organized, and organized.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Required: H.S. Diploma/GED/ or Equivalent
  • Desired: Trade school or 2 year Degree in automotive or related field, or equivalent of 1 years’ experience in same/similar position.
  • Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
