The mission of the SHEQ Manager is to lead and guide the Quincy Customer Center team in all aspects of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality processes, procedures and standards. This role will work to attain the safety and environmental target set by the local management team and will ensure adequate training, audting, inspecting and completion of these goals.

Essential Duties:

  • Support the management team in making effective business decisions through accurate, relevant, and timely Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality reporting, and analysis.
  • Prepare, administer, and align safety campaigns and programs across all locations for the Quincy Customer Center.
  • Support management in successfully implementing strategies in line with the Group mission to support sustainable business practices and to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Works with local management to manage a long-term sustainable approach to the assessment of all risks, the recording of such risks and the swift introduction of measures to minimize such risks, both preventative and protective
  • Supports local management on incident/hazard investigations and corrective actions
  • Organizes a plan and conducts training necessary for proper onboarding of an employee to account for HR, LMS, Administrative and SHEQ induction.
  • Collaborates with site management and employees to identify company training needs
  • Ensures that the design and implementation of all H&S programs are successful in involving all employees, especially in informing, development, and training
  • Supports Management with regular performance measurement reviews and reporting.
  • Manages and monitors LMS administrative functions (Ex. Adding/removing and updating training).
  • Schedules appropriate training sessions.
  • Implement and secure adequate quality and safety processes, procedures and programs to protect the Company results and human resource assets.
  • Ensure that Group SHEQ, Safety, Health, Environment and Quality processes, are updated and implemented.
  • Raise “red flags” to management whenever compliance with quality or safety principles are at risk.
  • Work collaborative with shared resources to develop the SHEQ processes into a modern, professional, and cost-efficient business unit with full customer dedication.
  • Support and actively participate in all Business Control and Human Resources processes, procedures, and programs.
  • Work with Managers and Human Resources on Work Comp claim and issues.
  • Develop and train Quality and Safety employees to optimize operational performance and promote upward mobility within the US and the Atlas Copco Group.
  • Demonstrate excellence in communicating with and developing strong partnerships and relationships with Company employees at all levels of the organization in support of operational efficiency and business growth strategies and targets.
  • Organize, train, and diligently follow the proactive actions to meet the safety targets.
  • Increase employee expertise through continuous training and development.

Expereince & Education:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in SHEQ / Safety Manager role with an industrial equipment organization
  • Experience in management SHEQ in multiple locations across the USA
  • Travel Requirement 50%
