Shift Lead Job at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream LLC
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part time Retail Shift Leads, based out of our Philadelphia area stores. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to work closely with the founding team of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as the company embarks on its next stage of major growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in food service operations, driven, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment (and loves ice cream!).
The Retail Team Leads will report directly to the General Manager of their assigned stores and will supervise their assigned shifts. The Shift Lead is in charge of ensuring that their shift runs smoothly and customer satisfaction remains high.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Anchors the team through all operational duties based on the volume of the shift -
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers
-
Communicates necessary information to GM
-
Keeps tabs on the team morale to ensure team is staying positive and productive

Delivers excellent customer service and steps in to assist team members on shift with customers who might need additional assistance
-
Executes store operations during scheduled shifts including organizing opening and closing duties as assigned and deploying labor as needed to keep up with store volume

Deeply understands the Van Leeuwen menu and provides quality product to our customers

Follows all policies and procedures and keeps tabs on employees on shift to ensure they are following protocol as well

Maintains regular and punctual attendance
RESPONSIBILITIES

2+ years of experience in food service (quick service a plus)

PHL Manager-level Food Handlers required
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent organizational skills
-
Ability to train and coach team members

Ability to multitask
