Shift Supervisor - Chemical Manufacturing Job at NDI Search
This position will provide technical guidance and leadership for on-shift personnel in the chemical manufacturing department.
Job responsibilities will include:
· Ensure safe work conditions in the plant.
· Ensure environmental compliance to include:
o Proper operation of the department odor control systems
o Mill creek monitoring and spill response
o Positive control of Mill creek storm water discharges
o Source tracking and control of fatty acids odor complaints and WW deepwell and effluent QC results
o Impounding of WW sewers during high rainwater events
· Support site QMS and EMS activities, as well as other ISO requirements.
· Providing guidance and direction to shift personnel in support of the production schedule, production notes, and process area metrics.
· Serve as liaison between operations and customer service / logistics regarding truck or rail car loading issues.
· Manage contractor permits, including hot work and confined space entries, as needed.
· Provide guidance and direction to maintenance trades during after-hours and weekends. Ensure on-shift personnel enter maintenance requests using SAP.
· Ensure satisfactory housekeeping standards are maintained.
· Support operations during loss of utilities periods.
· Completion of shift turnover report (STR), as well as other pertinent status updates.
· Management of disciplinary corrective actions in conjunction with the Area Manager.
o Assignment of attendance points, when applicable.
· Submission of Incident Reports into FrontLine system.
· Serve on the plant Emergency Response Team (ERT), including Incident Commander responsibilities.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
