The Shipping Dispatcher will communicate by phone and e-mail with various carriers to distribute shipments in the most cost-effective manner while ensuring timely delivery of orders to customers. The Shipping Dispatcher will need strong communication and computer skills to include excel, E-mail, math, Word and SAP (a plus), and must be able to interact with all levels of people, including sales, vendors, trucking companies, drivers, etc.

Education and Experience:

• Education – High School Diploma
• Equivalency – GED/demonstrated math, writing and reading skills
• Experience – At least three years in an office environment and preferably at least one year in a shipping or logistics-related situation.

Equipment Used:

• Data Used – SAP, Confirmation logs, Fourkites-Tracking, SAPI, UPS World Ship, CRM, JJ Keller Encompass
• Inter-Personnel Skills – Including the ability to be a team player, the ability to pass on information and training of others.

Working Conditions:

• Activities occur inside an office within an insulation manufacturing facility.
• Typically 40 hour per week with overtime as required
• Typically Monday thru Friday, with weekends as required on 1st
• Fast paced 24/7 operation

Travel Requirement

• Overnight travel up to 10%, this will include travel to other facilities and to trainings
