SUMMARY Packaging and container liaison to the plants after a program is in full production. Assist in the day to day activities related to container tracking, repair, replacement and issue resolution. Assist in yard clean up to get containers repaired, replaced or returned to the proper OEM/Tier as well as assist in fleet counts and OEM directed inventories. Work with the packaging group to understand the packaging and containers that will be purchased or provided to support the production of a program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Container counting / tracking at plant level

· Ability to drive a forklift

· Return of incorrect or other suppliers containers

· Identification of damage during unload

· Facilitating repair/rework process with our customers

· Getting counts

· Identifying repair/rework needed

· Filling out paperwork

· Coordinating logistics with OEM

· Get repair/rework quoted by local source

· Write PO/CER to cover repairs

· Coordinate rework/repair with local source

· Participate in our customers training to understand each OEM’s Packaging requirements (Depending on plant product mix)

· Keep warehouse organized and clean.

· Responsible for seeing that stock is rotated (FIFO – First In First Out).

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)

· Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.

· Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of Forklift experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits. Ability to calculate linear, cubic feet.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time

Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, demonstrate depth perception and have good hand –eye coordination.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee may be required to work outside for short periods of time.

Hours: 7am-3pm

Pay: $17-$19 (based on experience)

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
