Position Description
Short-Term Worker Location: Chaffey College Campuses (Rancho, Fontana, Chino)Start Date: To be determinedHourly Rate: To be determinedWorking Hours: Hours will vary
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community/Chaffey partners/Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.
Responsibilities
Assist the Photography Specialist in the maintenance of the photography facilities throughout their shift.
Assist Photography Specialist in setting up and maintaining and monitoring classrooms/open labs, including Mac labs for students in digital photography.
Assist Photography Specialist in setting up darkroom, film processing area, finishing area, and check-out area.
Support analog darkroom check-out equipment and supplies (enlarging tubs, tanks, reels, negative carriers, etc.).
Support equipment check-out for photo studio students during shoot days/lab times.
Provide tech support and assistance to instructors and students using the Adobe Creative Suite, other programs and/or devices in the classroom.
Work with Chaffey students, staff, and other techs to problem solve analog and digital photography related equipment, program, and software issues.
Qualifications
Working knowledge in both analog and digital single-lens reflex cameras.
Working knowledge or understanding of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
Working knowledge of the Adobe Bridge, Camera Raw, and Photoshop programs.
Should be comfortable using a Mac.
Task oriented individual who can start and stop a project as needed to assist students, answer phone calls, take back in-house equipment and come back to a project.
Prompt and personable individual who can work in a classroom setting and open-lab.
