Responsible for providing financial leadership and support for all accounting activities including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting, financial risk management, forecasting and variance analysis. Provides financial analysis to support business decision making and evaluation.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership through the analysis of business performance to help ensure customer/product profitability.
  • Direct the activities and teams within the accounting department to ensure appropriate financial reserves.
  • Provide financial reports required by management, audit and regulatory agencies.
  • Review and ensure completion of all account and bank reconciliations and account reviews for reasonableness.
  • Develop and ensure the maintenance of the general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Manage the financial performance by developing forecasts and monitoring ongoing performance against plan.
  • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Provides financial analysis in the on-going support of business management such as price vs inflation, new business evaluation and customer profitability
  • Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking, direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure that financial analysis needed for new business, on going risk management and variance analysis is performed, reviewed and communicated to appropriate leadership.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analyses for management as needed.
  • Adhere to all appropriate financial policies such as GAAP.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years finance managerial experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function in a fast paced, highly visible, and changing environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills.
  • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • MBA
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Previous Manufacturing experience.

This is an on-site position located in the operations facility in Marshall, Texas
