Develop a weekly shift schedule under the direction of the TCM or designated TxDOT representative and submit for approval by Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., CT, of each week.

Ensure and maintain continuous quality and completeness of the work performed by the Security Guards.

Handle and correct any identified problems and issues within 24 hours of notification and provide the action taken, in writing, to the TCM within 24 hours to prevent any future occurrences.

Make periodic joint inspections on all security guards with the TCM or designated TxDOT representative monthly or as requested by TxDOT.

Contact the TCM or designated TxDOT representative immediately by telephone and follow up in writing to explain the nature and reason if any problem cannot be corrected or a resolution cannot be obtained within 24 hours

Ensure security guards perform assigned tasks at their designated service location.

Ensure security guards monitor contractors and subcontractors at TxDOT facilities upon request by TxDOT.

Contact the VCM and the TCM or designated TxDOT representative immediately by telephone if any problem cannot be corrected or a resolution cannot be obtained within 24 hours.

Make on-site inspections at each location daily, report the time the shift check was made on the Electronic Shift Activity Report, and provide the TCM or designated TxDOT representative with a weekly inspection report.

Make a minimum of one random physical check of the security guards daily with all shifts being physically checked within a three-day period and report the time the check was completed on the Electronic Shift Activity Report.

Assist the TXDOT Austin District building facility manager and TxDOT Security in implementing or modifying TxDOT procedures and checklist for all fire alarms, bomb threats, and other emergencies.

Report to and be accessible to TXDOT representative twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week for resolution of

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of three years of experience within the past five years in on-site and off-site management of security guard personnel

Monday thru Friday and may include weekends

Be a state of Texas licensed commissioned officer.

Have knowledge and experience in law enforcement and security guard service procedures.

Have training in laws and liabilities, security awareness, mediation and conflict resolution, disaster, and emergency situations, and managing personnel at various types of facilities.

A high school graduate or hold a GED.

Computer literate. Able to stand continuously for up to two hours at a time and up to 12 hours in a 24-hour period. Able to walk unassisted a minimum of 300 yards, climb stairs, and be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.

Certificated in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
