Job Position: Software Engineer

Job description:

Join the Voice & Chat Automation / Contact Center Delivery group as site reliability engineer. Be part of a team that is working on a major modernization effort, revolving around exciting new technologies. The site reliability engineer will be responsible for building platform components for a mission critical Contact Center within KeyBank. We are looking for an experienced SRE to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for brining necessary automation for monitoring availability, reliability and scalability and find bottleneck in the system. Create necessary alerting mechanism to enable support group.

Essential Job Functions:

• Must be comfortable working in an agile team environment
• Must be able to work with Product Owner, Scrum master and cross functional teams as a product team to achieve single goal
• Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
• Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
• Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
• Gather and analyze metrics from applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives

Required Qualifications:

• Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required

Must haves:

• Experience with Google cloud projects (GCP) and Kubernetes
• Experience with Jenkins cloud deployments CI/CD
• Experience with both Relational DB (SQL) and no-sql
• Experience with Monitoring and notification tools & automations
• Hands on experience with scripting like java script, YAML
• Troubleshooting bottleneck

Nice to haves:

• Contact Center experience a huge plus
