  • Meet with the Director of Sales & Marketing weekly to set goals and create sales strategies
  • Call on farmers and other potential clients in the commercial & agricultural space
  • Initiate & maintain relationships with clients & guide them through the sales process
  • Qualify leads & visit the job site to take pictures and measurements
  • Submit the pictures & measurements to the Estimating Team
  • Present the Estimating Team's proposal to the client
  • Nurture & follow up on leads to close deals
  • Attend networking events, like trade shows, Lunch & Learn events, local Chamber events, & open houses
  • Enjoy high levels of independence & ownership over the sales process in your assigned region


A well-established solar installation company is seeking a Solar Sales Consultant to join our team in developing commercial, ag, and residential sales leads. We are looking for someone who is a sales warrior, connects with people, and regularly closes deals. If you have previous sales experience in commercial, residential, or ag markets selling in areas such as alarm systems, pools, windows, doors, equipment, or solar, we'd love to hear from you.


Our Ideal Solar Sales Consultant:

  • Experienced: 3+ years of outside sales experience preferred. A strong track record of exceeding sales goals & quotas in outside or field sales is preferred. Must have good closing skills with business owners, C-level executives, & farmers.
  • Excellent Communicator: Much time is spent communicating with clients and teammates in person, on the phone, and in writing. Direct & honest communication is required, and able to explain things clearly & persuasively.
  • Genuine: Possess a natural ability to form trusting relationships quickly. Honesty, integrity, & trustworthiness are a must.
  • Self-Starter: Has strong time management skills—staying organized by managing a schedule and implementing strategies to remain motivated for a productive week.
  • Passionate: Excited about solar energy & eager to build your knowledge and skills by continuously learning. Have a passion for building relationships, networking, and helping others succeed in reaching their financial goals.
  • Adaptable: Able to work in various environments, including fields, barns, & board rooms.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to learn new systems & software. Experience using a CRM is helpful but not required.
  • Clean Driving Record: Have a valid driver's license and 3+ years with a clean driving record.
