Overview:

Summary

Solution Architect will be responsible for acting as the primary technical resource for ConvergeOne’s Inside Cloud Sales and Business Development teams. In this role, you will also be responsible for leveraging deep functional and technical expertise to design solutions that solve customer’s ever-changing business and technology challenges. This role will plan and direct all presale aspects of engineering activities covering IP LAN/WAN network infrastructure, including but not limited to, routing and switching, wireless, and network security.


Solution Architect must be motivated, quick thinking, detail oriented, a good communicator, and a strong leader and self-starter with the ability to work with little direction, make sound decisions, work effectively with and get results from others.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  • Engages with customers and their use case and propose industry-leading solutions design and architectures
  • Develops and executes technical sales plans and proposals (RFP, RFQ) to grow Integration Partners’ business in a driven and opportunity-filled sales environment
  • Originates and architects detailed design, engineering, and implementation specifications for next-generation networks and solutions
  • Maintains in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, and industry trends for the Networking discipline, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center networking and interconnection
  • Participates in the diagnosis, isolation, and resolution of network problems
  • Identifies and may help document root causes of problems
  • Identifies potential issues in the production environment and recommends potential solutions

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering or Computer Science subject areas with relevant industry certifications
  • Experience with modern network cloud-based technologies, switching, routing and network security
  • OS and product virtualization technology knowledge a plus
  • Written and oral communication skills in English and can work multi-functionally and cross-culturally
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
  • Knowledge of network security best practices
