Reporting directly to our Head of UX/UI, you will become a part of our UX/UI team. You will, in conjunction with the Technology Software and Product Management organizations, have the responsibility for analyzing customer and user requirements and demands within the Water Utility business to provide software solutions to meet the needs and increase the efficiency of our US based customers. You will therefore collaborate directly with both internal and external stakeholders to collect input and formulate software solution requirements.

In this newly established position as Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for understanding our customers and their business needs, technology ecosystems and architectures to identify opportunities and missing gaps where Kamstrup can create value through software.

You will therefore have high visibility within Software Development, Product Ownership and Product Management teams to establish and create transparency for key directions and decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collecting qualitative and quantitative data, helping us create associated requirements and prioritizations.
  • Participate in Agile Product Increment Planning workshops internally to produce clear development direction for sprint iterations.
  • Clearly communicate customer pain points as well as potential functionality opportunities creating business value through user stories.
  • Execute early-stage software product validation in close collaboration with customers and end users (e.g., co-creation workshops, scoping of prototypes and A/B tests and their success criteria).
  • Make comparisons between product and industry trends to ensure that our software solutions are suitable and profitable.
  • Analyze and build an expert understanding of our competitor landscape within our software solution space.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% per year as onsite customer visits, in the US, will be a key part of the job.
  • Ability to travel to our headquarters in Denmark 3-4 times a year.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Information, or related field.
  • Solid software development experience combined with a proven record of accomplishments of customer collaboration.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Solution Architect with relevant UX experience or equivalent e.g., Agile Software Product Manager or Sr. Product Owner.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation in a traditional manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with the Agile methodology and principles and the ability to apply them.
  • Knowledge and experience with software integration methods and processes.
  • Ability to build early trust and credibility and create a close partnership with business leaders and teams.
  • Strong networking skills that enable you to be invited into our customers’ working environments and collaborate with various customers and user profiles.
  • An analytical and curious approach to your tasks with a desire to make a difference by taking responsibility.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a necessity to be successful in this position.
