JOB TITLE: Sorter

SALARY LEVEL: Bracket 10 DIVISION: 125

SHIFT: Any DEPARTMENT: Preparation

LOCATION: Yakima

SUMMARY: Sorts raw product for defects to minimize waste of any usable food product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Sorts and inspects products in the raw or processed state.

Inspects for foreign material.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

No prior experience or training required. Must receive and understand MSDS training and Safety regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to understand simple instructions in English. Ability to speak simple sentences in English.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
