Summary:

• The role will support the Discovery / Preclinical team within the enterprise-wide Research Category and R&D Procurement Category Family and work with other members of the Discovery / Preclinical subcategory team.
• This individual will provide end-to-end category management support, including responsibility for strategy implementation to meet the needs of the business and deliver maximum value to Client.
• The individual will collaborate and manage initiatives with Procurement team members and R&D business partners at multiple levels, as well as across-functions, regions, and sectors (Pharm / Med Tech).
• The successful candidate could work in the following areas and demonstrate accountable leadership to ensure the following responsibilities are completed, while collaborating across our three-tier procurement model (Business Unit, Global Services, and Corporate Tier).
• Business engagement, Category strategy and analytics, Sourcing, Contracting, Supplier management, Procurement strategy & enablement, Clear, concise, effective, and proactive communication
• Prioritization while maintaining compliance and customer service
• Autonomous leadership and ability to lead through others

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to expertly present complex information is required
• Sense of urgency, ability to proactively follow-up with internal and external stakeholders and manage casework
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple tasks / projects concurrently, and prioritize

Technical Abilities:

• Experience with Procurement (R&D ideally but we will consider other types of Procurement experience)
• Data analytics
• Contract negotiations / development

Education:

• BS/BA in a related field is preferred– a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related area of study or advanced degree/MBA is preferred.
• Business degree OK, too, for consideration

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
