About us
Mercato Newtown Square is looking for an Experienced Sous Chef.
Our company is currently seeking a Sous Chef to help oversee our kitchen staff and ensure that meals are coming out as planned. The Sous Chef is directly involved with meal preparation, assists in hiring and supervising kitchen staff, and will also be responsible for conducting inventory checks, coordinating inventory ordering and maintaining a clean work space. The ideal candidate will have a background in a professional kitchen environment and must be comfortable working with kitchen staff, food vendors and managers at our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth flow of orders and reservations.
- Communicate with other employees about any issues that arise.
- Train new employees.
- Manage employees' schedules.
- Interact effectively with wait staff, kitchen staff, and host staff.
- Handle dish washing and sanitization duties;.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,029.00 - $47,557.00 per year
