Redwater has 10 restaurants, 9 event venues, 8 golf courses, and 5 country club pools complete with cafes and bars! Job Summary:

· Our Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the general operation of staff functions relating to all the food and beverages programs on the property

· Our Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive chef, General Manager, Event Manager, and Restaurant Mangers.

· The Sous Chef supervises and trains staff to ensure the high quality of professionalism and quality that Redwater is known for

· A flexible work schedule is needed by our Sous Chef as on average you will work 55 hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

· Inspects staff to ensure they are in proper and clean uniform

· Adheres to on-going training programs

· Adheres to all handbook policies and holds team members accountable

· Ensures productivity of team members and all daily tasks completed in a timely fashion

· Has knowledge of shift, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals

· Manages shift with cost effective approach

· Creates a positive work environment for the team

· Responsible for staff opening and closing procedures

· Has complete knowledge of all menu items and pricing

· Schedules personnel based on business volume

· Ensures facility is clean, organized, and well maintained on a daily basis

· Attends and participates in weekly management staff meetings, as well as other service meetings as deemed necessary

· Keeps up with current trends within the restaurant industry

· Continuous training on Executive Chef responsibilities for future advancement

Requirements:

· Previous Experience of 1-3 years

· Availability that includes nights, weekends, and holidays

· Must be 18 years old

· May at times have to lift 50+ pounds

· Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk while carrying items
