JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Director of Education, the Special Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities in a variety of settings.The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities, such that the students benefit from the curriculum to the greatest extent possible when supported with supplemental aides, accommodations, and other necessary supports.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an approved program for special education in the assigned area. Must possess or be eligible to possess a valid Tennessee Educator's Licensure at time of employment.
Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying assessment instruments, operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications, and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per hour
