Position Summary: Speech-Language Pathologists will conduct evaluations of young children who may have developmental delays. The HGH SLP will also provide in-home therapy for children in the 0-3 Early Intervention program.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews collateral and intake information provided
  • Evaluates child's level of speech, language, and/or swallowing difficulty
  • Completes intake paperwork, assessments, reports, and treatment plans with identified children and their families
  • Assists in the development of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Schedules, plans, and conducts home visits with assigned families to carry out treatment plans and IFSP goal
  • Maintains ongoing communication with families and members of the ID team to coordinate program services
  • Prepares, collects, and maintains educational information files, records, case notes, and documentation from outside agencies
  • Conducts research related to families needs for service and provides resources and educational information

Education & Experience:

  • Masters and/or Doctorate in Speech Pathology from an ASHA accredited University
  • A Current California Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Minimum one (1) year SLP experience. Minimum one (1) year pediatrics experience (birth to 5 years of age).

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Read, write and understand the English language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Proficient on office equipment including computer, printer, and copy machines.

  • Ability to form positive, supportive, and professional working relationships
  • Detail-oriented with ability to ensure accuracy of program documents and paperwork
  • Ability to manage work time efficiently and meet deadlines without close supervision

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire
  • Must receive criminal record clearance from DOJ
  • Valid California Drivers license, safe driving record, and have been licensed to drive at least 2 years
  • Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance
  • Must obtain CPR/FA certification if not currently certified
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (including required booster shots) or have received an approved exemption from HGH by date of hire

Physical Demands/Environment: Able to see, talk, hear, walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 10 pounds or less repeatedly during a shift.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
