The Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist will have plenty of room for professional growth. This position will play a critical role in the company’s accounts payable process.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to analyze AR aging and prioritize accounts.
- Can clearly communicate collections of AR balance via email and phone
- Be able to decide next step in the collection process based on customer’s response. Example:
- Shipment not received
- Invoice and PO does not match.
- PO has been paid and is closed
- Duplicate invoice…etc.
- Know when to escalate and involve sales, customer service, buyer, AR manager etc.
- Be able to do AR account reconciliation (Pull POD for shortships, reconcile pricing short pays, unapplied payments etc.)
- Be able to release or hold orders by analysis of past due, payment history, credit limits etc and request management authorization as per policy.
What qualifications are required?
- 5+years full cycle AP
- Must come from manufacturing
- Large ERP experience
- Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup)
