*Position Overview:*
Accountable for providing overall direction and integration for software development, system performance (BASIS), and application security. Acts as primary point of contact with hosting providers and software vendor’s technical support functions. Maintains contact with vendors to manage the status and quality of orders and the progress toward contractual commitments.
Understands the information technology and business strategy and works with the organization to deliver applications and enhancements that support the organization’s objectives.
Communicates and coordinates with other IT executives and co-workers, business leadership, and project managers to ensure appropriate delivery of application development across the enterprise. Manage and mentor supervisors, project leads and/or technical staff. Work under general direction of senior level management.
**
*Essential Responsibilities and Duties:*

• Responsible for the definition and successful execution of Amcor’s systems development life cycle, change control, application security, and SAP BASIS in support services and projects. Provides direction for technical and business resources.
• Actively participates in long-range strategy planning and manages policy development to address complex IT business and technical issues, provides leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Works with business unit managers and forms alliances on projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements/conflicts and vendor contracts.
• Coordinates systems analysis and application development activities through direct and indirect staff. Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development practices.
• Drives quality and efficiency improvement activities for the development organization and development processes. Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing systems analysis and application development projects and programs.
• Oversees, defines and monitors critical path activities and resolves issues or escalates issues as needed.
• Oversees projects including scoping, building detailed project plans, setting priorities, assigning responsibilities, establish schedules; and tracking progress
• Travel may be required up to 20% of time to provide SAP support at other Amcor facilities.
• Facilitate the personal and professional growth of direct reports including leveraging Amcor training resources and managing Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
• Foster the use of, and compliance with, Amcor IT standard practices, tools and methodologies.

*Qualifications & Experience:*

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field and 10 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s experience as an SAP Business Analyst, Software Engineer, IT Analyst, or in a closely related Information Technology occupation involving SAP. Or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.
• Senior level management in systems analysis and application development. Has overall responsibility for department decisions and management.
• Provides strategic direction, coaches and mentors more junior management staff and/or senior technical staff.
• Accountable for IT departmental results.
