POSITION PURPOSE:

Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition N.A. Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Process Manager to work as the business’s dedicated IT resource at our corporate headquarters in Itasca, IL. SAP Supply Systems (S/4 HANA) IT systems operating system used by our business. Salesforce.com is the primary Customer Relationship Management Tool. The focus of this role is to support an end-to-end Supply Chain organization (Commercial Finance, Customer Service, Logistics, and Procurement) to harmonize, optimize, and automate business processes internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have a good mixture of business process knowledge, strong technical understanding of SAP, and the ability to work and lead cross functional teams to execute and implement effective business processes utilizing shared services model for IT and MIS. Reporting directly to the VP Supply Chain, this role will work directly with business leaders to solve business process problems, manage solution governance, and spearheading key continuous improvement initiatives and solution decisions/roadmaps in the future. This position will also be responsible for working on new system build elements, testing, and regression testing, deployment, and support/defect resolution.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Computer Science
  • 10 years’ experience Business Process Management or Center of Excellence positions
  • Order to Cash Process
  • E2E Supply Chain Processes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Innate ability to lead cross functional teams to implement effective business processes
  • Proficient at utilizing and understanding of SAP
  • Knowledge of handling Output types, IDOCs, batch jobs.
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Activate and prioritize shared service functions in IT and MIS to execute and drive process changes desired for the business.
  • Continuous improvement mindset to further automate and innovate
  • Knowledge of EDI functions and use
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to CRM tools, like Salesforce.com a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office applications and Microsoft 365
  • General Knowledge of businesses processes & supporting systems
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and financial statement presentations under US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Understanding of key internal controls and ability to incorporate into business processes for accurate financial reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of performance and operations management

WORKING CONDITIONS: ADA-friendly office environment with opportunity for remote work. Ability to travel up to 15% domestically.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and lead a team that focuses on the Center of Excellence Mindset to improving our internal and external business processes.
  • Improve utilization of SAP for AHN business processes in accounting, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
  • Lead the prioritization and assist the MIS and IT teams in the implementation of SAP PP/MM related project deliverables
  • Develop technical specifications for system configuration to ensure functions have the ability to train employees to utilize SAP effectively.
  • Assess the functionality of business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • He/she identifies business problems and analyzes and documents business requirements for the supported business functions
  • Conduct BPM design walk-throughs with development teams and end users.
  • Lead Rollout (Data migration and cutover) & Production support requirements for business processes.
  • Handling the interfaces between ECC and S4 HANA SAP systems, any 3rd party system integrations, root cause to trouble shoot and resolve issues.
  • Participates in and leads components of system delivery and assures user acceptance
  • Identifies and investigates operational needs and/or opportunities, contributing to the implementation of improvements
  • Defines requirements for the implementation of changes in business functions and supporting IT services
  • Provides advice, assistance and leadership in any area associated with the planning, procurement, provision, delivery, management, maintenance, and effective business use of information systems for multiple areas in the Supply Chain department
  • Triaging issues and defects and track and report on resolution and perform root cause analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned
