This person will act as a key point of contact with senior management, information security management and business unit stakeholders for cybersecurity-related communications to drive the cybersecurity of the T-Mobile Network and have responsibility for guiding other leaders.

This role provides a unique opportunity to drive security direction for T-Mobile USA. This position manages all aspects of the cybersecurity operations team. The team maintains corporate data network security infrastructure and provides information security based on the enforcement of the T-Mobile security policies. They coordinate Incident Response, conduct Vulnerability Assessments, install security patches, operate Intrusion Prevention Systems, correlate security related data across the enterprise, administer Firewalls and other access control points, and maintain Anti-Virus systems. The team also assists application owners to understand and implement the cybersecurity aspects of their applications and advises on best security practices for new company projects and initiatives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide the CSO executive support with strategic planning and daily initiatives.
  • Act as a key point of contact with senior management, information security management and business unit stakeholders for cybersecurity-related communications.
  • Assist with program roadmaps and communications disseminated throughout the organization.
  • Work in tandem with the CSO, information security management and other technology leaders on financial planning and analysis, and additional fiduciary responsibilities as necessary.
  • Understand status of critical information security projects and procurement from inception to successful completion, fully understanding the purpose of projects, technologies and their value-add to the organization.
  • Promote a strong security culture within the security department, but also organization-wide across management and employees.
  • Work with management to help define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with business initiatives and deliver to non-technical individuals.
  • Actively participates as a member of the Leadership Team meetings and events.
  • Assist with organizational and service strategy.
  • Strategic Program Alignment across key customers and internal organizations.
  • Help prepare and refine board-level and senior management presentations and company-wide information security communications with support from appropriate change personnel.
  • Facilitate, attend and document meetings and action items, in tandem or in lieu of the CSO when required.
  • Maintain open lines of communications with business units to understand their plans and how information security can securely enable them to execute their vision and business obligations.
  • Participate in new business or M&A activity requiring information security input.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity policies and regulatory controls threats, vulnerabilities, and overall risk profile of the enterprise (per team function).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cybersecurity or technical consultation on designs and/or implementation of cybersecurity controls ensuring adherence to T-Mobile security standards and/or best practices.
  • Plan and execute appropriate protective measures to include policy, process, and overall cybersecurity awareness.
  • Lead security projects driven by groups both internal and external to Digital Security.
  • Develop strategy, roadmap, and requirements for enterprise information protection to align with technology, product, and overall business strategy.
  • Maintain visibility outside of Digital Security, interface and communicate with non-Digital Security groups during cybersecurity events to coordinate cross-functional efforts

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

  • 7+ years cybersecurity technical experience.
  • 5+ years management leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills necessary to engage with diverse cross functional groups and present effectively to small and large groups.
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices in large-scale environments
  • Experience with high level design architecture, security technologies, Networking, web services and SOA.
  • Knowledgeable in many facets of network and information security, including Firewall policy design, SSL Certificate management, vulnerability analysis and mitigation, and other topics as assigned.
  • Significant knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of cybersecurity a plus.
  • Strong understanding of T-Mobile’s network elements and how they work together (EIT, Engineering and 3rd Party).
  • Knowledge of federal and compliance regulations e.g. SOX, PCI and CPNI.
  • 5 years Technical Project Management a plus.
  • Familiarity with load balancers.


Licenses and Certifications
:

  • CISSP and/or CCSK and/or CCSP and/or CISA/CISM certification a plus.

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. Washington Pay Range: $180,300 - $212,100 - $243,900

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
