The Stacker/Palletizer is responsible for maintaining a continual flow of finished goods by stacking cases according to customer quality standards and specifications. Also, The Stacker/Palletizer supports all production activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment by timely and accurately completing finished goods pallets. Furthermore, The Stacker/Palletizer maintains the palletizing area in an organized and clean manner to make work environment safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities:
- Makes sure all finished goods cases are properly sealed through a tape machine and coded.
- Palletizes finished goods cases onto pallets in the appropriate/designated pallet pattern for each work order.
- Inspects and assures all finished goods cases have correct lot number, production code, and verifies case condition and printed information is accurate.
- Oversees and inspects packaging materials for finished goods cases are not used due defects and/or out of quality and specification compliance.
- Returns raw material and packaging material for rework according to food safety and good manufacturing practices.
- Alerts the Machine Operator or Production Supervisor of any equipment problems or malfunctions for repairs, for accurate resolutions, and to avoid production interruptions.
- Maintains work area in clean and organized.
- Assists the Machine Operator in setting, changing, and inputting information in the case printer coders.
- Assists the Forklift Operator in operating the palletizer equipment.
- Assists in relieving during brakes and lunches all production positions during production activities.
- Stages wood and rental pallets in the corresponding production line.
- Assists in the continual production flow by replenishing empty pallets and packaging materials.
- Applies slip sheets as required for each specific work order.
- References the daily production schedule for pallet patterns and work orders case counts.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.- WORK EXPERIENCE: Work experience in warehousing, logistics, or distribution.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedure manuals as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management. Must be able to speak, read, write and fully comprehend English language. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.PLANNING/ORGANIZATION SKILLS: Must have ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently, and developing realistic plans.
- INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others as well as maintain constructive working relationship.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk 20% to 100% and/or sit for 10% to 20% of the time working with equipment with keyboard and touchscreen devices and/or driving a forklift during a shift of eight or more hours in length.
- Willingness to work hours in excess of the normal schedule to meet deadlines.
- Consistently adapts to changes in the work environment, manages contending demands and to be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events.
- Must be able to handle stress and maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
- The employee must have the ability to work in and out of a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 32F to 45F degrees. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Equipment is frequently washed resulting in wet floors. Hearing protection is required. In addition, the employee will have minimal exposure to hazardous chemicals or odors and must use protection as required.
