A Brief Overview
CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Staff Account at CGL Facility Management, LLC, readies and maintains financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles that include work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice.

What you will do

  • Assist in the monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and input complete and accurate journal entries into the CGL accounting system in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare complete, accurate and timely account reconciliations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain accurate supporting detail for GL account balances.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and workbooks supporting detailed account analyses.
  • Analyzes the effects of transactions upon account relationships.
  • Evaluates alternative means of treating transactions.
  • Considers the need for new or changed controls.
  • Interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
  • Advises operating officials on accounting matters.
  • Recommends improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting system and procedures.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
  • Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Required and
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting Preferred
  • 1-3 years accounting experience Required and
  • Experience with JD Edwards-Enterprise One System or other large ERP system Preferred
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work within specified deadlines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including, proficient in use of Excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Requires a detail oriented, independent thinker who has the ability to be a part of a team and demonstrates strong attention to detail, and demonstrate knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
