Fahrenheit Advisors has been retained by Gumenick Properties to assist in their search for an Accountant.

Gumenick Properties is an award- winning real estate development and management company with operations throughout the Southeast. The Accountant will manage and provide oversight of the Gumenick Family Trusts financial activities including accounting and tax records, actual monthly closings, tax filings, and account reconciliation reporting to owners and family. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage, drive, and execute the actual monthly close the book process granting proper execution and control of closing requirements in coordination with Gumenick Legal Entities.
  • Manage the entire accounting activities with proper synchronization of sub-ledgers and G/L, reviewing and manual journal entries, setting up entry templates and securing full adherence and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Coordinate the account reconciliation process and perform key reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors to reply to various notices to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assists and support the internal accounting department with quarterly and year end financials and preparation of schedules, documentation and other necessary data as required.
  • Support CFO in preparing managerial reporting supplemental data and ad hoc reports.

Required Experience:

  • Advance accounting skills
  • Tax and fiscal acumen
  • Advance computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in data analysis
  • Quickbooks and Quicken proficient.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize, respond and react quickly to demands.
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization.

Education:

  • BS in Accounting or Business
  • Minimum 4 years accounting experience
